Tele-healthcare in the Samara Region

In the Samara Regional Clinical Hospital (SOKB) them. MI Kalinin and Sergius Central District Hospital (CDH) has successfully passed clinical trials software and hardware complexes of remote telemedical consultations automated system (ASUTMK).

A fragment of geographically-separated medical information network was created on the basis of the Samara Region's tele-healthcare network (segment of corporate data network of the Government of the Samara Region). Such an infrastructure configuration ensures unprecedented reliability of communication channels and protection of data transmitted through them.

Within a testing zone, automated workplaces were inter-connected for X-Ray specialists, neurosurgeons and neurologists working in the Regional Cardiovascular and Traumatology Centers of the Samara Regional Clinical Hospital named after M. I. Kalinin and for specialists from the Sergievsk primary medical assistance center. Thus, when dealing with complex cases, specialists from the Sergievsk Central District Hospital can prepare tele-healthcare packages of patients' data, send them to the regional consultation center of the Samara Regional Clinical Hospital and, within minutes, receive highly-qualified consulting assistance from specialists connected to the system.

One advantage of using this software and hardware system is data exchange (examinations of computer/magnetic imaging tomography, ultrasound examinations, X-Ray examinations, endoscopy, laboratory data) in accordance with approved protocols and data processing within a unified specialized environment.
