The Second Inter-Regional Economics Conference named 'The Samara Initiative: Cluster Politics as Foundation of Innovations-Based Development of National Economy'
From 3 to 5 July 2008 in the Samara Region II passed Interregional Economic Forum "Samara initiative: cluster policy - the basis of innovative development of national economy", organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Government of Samara region.
Heads of federal and regional bodies of power, directors of the largest commercial companies from Russia and foreign countries, leading experts in economics and cluster politics, representatives of international financial institutions, European clusters and higher education institutions took part in the conference.
The Samara regional conference aims at development and strengthening of the national innovations-based system by means of efficient implementation of cluster initiatives as one of the most important components of the strategy of the nation's innovations-based development and the keys for increasing competitive power of the country's regions, development of financial infrastructure, development of specific mechanisms for supporting and stimulating a network of territorial and industrial clusters.
The 2008 conference became even more interesting due to the urgency of its agenda, composition of participants, topics discussed, and opportunities for open and informal communication of participants.
YSAR+ was represented by Maxim Nikolaevich Bagaev, its Regional Director, with the report on Integration of Information Resources and Telecommunication Infrastructure in IT-Clusters.
