Development of tele-healthcare in the Primosrki Region
The first tele-healthcare centers began to operate in the Primorski Region
Primorski Region saw beginning of work of tele-healthcare centers. One of the first institutions to be included in the project was the Spassk Municipal Hospital. Here, a special room was designated equipped with video camera and printers for sending X-Ray images, tomograms and microscope images to Vladivostok colleagues. Currently, the medical institution is testing an automated system of remote tele-healthcare consultations.
In 2013, YSAR+, within the framework of execution of a state contract, created technical facilities for a system of remote radiology diagnostics. Initially, 5 of the region's medical institutions participated in system operation testing. As of today, their number is significantly larger.
Natalya Yakovleva (Acting Deputy Director for Medical Work of the Spassk Municipal Hospital) said: 'We have already conducted four sessions: consultations for patients of obstetric and therapeutic categories, and, in particular, with the region's Chief Anesthetist. We can establish connection with specialists from the Regional Clinical Hospitals No. 1 and No. 2 and the Primorski Oncologic Center.
She also stressed that the list of diseases for which consultations can be obtained from regional hospitals' specialists is quite extensive. This includes the areas of anesthesiology, intensive care, obstetrics, gynecology, gastroenterology, cardiology, cardiosurgery, proctology, rheumatology, blood vessel surgery, urology, endocrinologic and general surgery, and neurology.
Pavel Serebryakov (Vice-Governor) noted that in the Primorski Region, there will be a total of 8 tele-healthcare centers: in Spassk, Arseniev, Dalnerechensk, Nakhodka, Partizansk, Artyom, Kavalerovo and Ussuriysk.
