Visit of V. I. Skvortsova (Minister of Healthcare of the Russian Federation)

On September 18, 2015, V. I. Skvortsova, Minister of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, conducted a meeting in the Russian Scientific Center for Cancer Studies named after N. N. Blokhin (Federal State Budgetary Institution, Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation).

During the Minister's meeting with M. I. Davydov (Director of the Russian Scientific Center for Cancer Studies named after N. N. Blokhin, Federal State Budgetary Institution, Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, Chief Off-Staff Cancer Specialist of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences), M. D. Aliev (Deputy Director for Scientific Investigations and Patients Treatment, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences), and B. I. Dolgushin (Deputy Director of the Scientific and Research Institute of Clinical Oncology, Russian Scientific Center for Cancer Studies named after N. N. Blokhin, Federal State Budgetary Institution, Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences), among many topics, there were discussions of lowering mortality from cancer diseases by using diagnostics and treatment standards.

The Minister was shown our system (developed jointly with doctors from the Russian Scientific Center for Cancer Studies named after N. N. Blokhin, Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation), which had been put in practical healthcare usage and which ensures that diagnostics and treatment standards spread further to cover the regional level.

The participants of the meeting noted that usage of this system in practical daily work contributes to significant lowering of mortality from cancer diseases..
