Widening of tele-healthcare network

At doctor's workplace

Within the framework of development of regional network of specialized remote consultations, the JEMYS Tele-healthcare software and hardware system was put in full-scale operation in the Vurnary Central District Hospital (along with the module of the System of Descriptions, Recommendations and Statistics of Mammography Screening, SDRS-MS). The system is connected to the unified tele-healthcare center of the Chuvash Republic, which was opened in July 2015 on the basis of the Cheboksary Republic Clinical Oncologic Center. Specialists of YSAR+ provided instructions for working with the system and conducted trainings for medical personnel.

The Vurnary village is located in central Chuvashia, 91 km to the south of Cheboskary. The district has 101 settlements with total population of 35,000.

Implementation of the JEMYS Tele-healthcare software and hardware system with the SDRS-MS module in the Vurnary Central District Hospital will allow to significantly raise quality of early diagnostics of breast cancer in patients residing not only in the Vurnary district, but also in 5 other neighboring regions.

The software and hardware system implemented ensures data package exchange between the district hospital, the Republic Clinical Oncologic Center, and the Blokhin Russian Scientific Center for Cancer Studies of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. Second, independent reviews are conducted for images related to all women examined in the district, and not only by leading specialists of the Cheboksary Regional Clinical Oncologic Center, but also by leading experts from the Blokhin Center.

Thanks to active usage of the system, routine work is made easier, qualification of diagnosticians in district hospitals is raised, their work is standardized, and self-learning processes are facilitated.

Availability of a central system archive means saving of all conducted patients' examinations and possibility (when necessary) of repeated consulting of electronic archives for obtainment of statistical and analytical data.

On October 23, the same workstation for conducting remote medical consultations for mammography screening of breast cancer was set up in the Morgaushi Central District Hospital of Chuvashia.

Marina Kaygorodova (Regional DIrector of YSAR+) said: 'More and more Chuvash women residing both in the Republic's capital and in remote districts get possibility of professional diagnostics when performing mammography screening, since expert review is guaranteed to them for results of diagnostic examinations, with the usage of information technologies implemented by YSAR+ in the region'.
