A new surgical complex opened in Chuvashia
On September 6, a new surgical complex at the Republic Clinical Cancer-Prevention Center was opened in Cheboksary (capital of Chuvashia).
The event was attended by Veronika Skvortsova (Minister of Healthcare of the Russian Federation), Mikhail Ignatiev (Head of Chuvashia), and Alla Samoylova (Minister of Healthcare of the Chuvash Republic).
Data from operating rooms has already started to arrive to the unified information environment of the cancer-prevention center. Specialists of YSAR+ JSC performed works for adjustment of the software and hardware system which ensures processing, storage and transmission of videos to the institution's unified network.
Veronika Skvortsova took part in a tele-healthcare session with the specialists from the Russian Scientific Center for Cancer Studies named after N. N. Blokhin and with doctors from the Alatyr Central District Hospital.
Special software installed by YSAR+ JSC allows to conduct remote tele-healthcare consultations for the purpose of formulation or revision of diagnoses, development of treatment strategies, and taking of decisions on necessity of hospital admission. The system includes formalized diagnostic and clinical protocols, which ensures correct wording of consultation requests and allows experts to quickly provide recommendations and opinions with the maximum precision possible.
Veronika Skvortsova (Minister of Healthcare of the Russian Federation) said: 'Everything that modern cancer-prevention medicine has at its disposal is available in this center. What we have seen in Chuvashia has surpassed our expectations. The level is not a bit lower that of our leading federal centers.'
The Minister continued, highlighting future directions of development of cancer-prevention work in Chuvashia: 'You have a very good cancer-prevention center, on a par with the best in the world. We hope that it would be an 'icing on the cake', an institution that would unite and lead all cancer-prevention work in the Republic and in neighboring regions.Official source of information
