Digital operating rooms for Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital No. 1

Digital operating rooms for Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital No. 1

.
In collaboration with partners, JSC "YSAR+" completed the installation and commissioning of an integrated digital operating room in the Infectious Diseases Treatment and Diagnostic Complex on the premises of City Clinical Hospital No. 1 of the Moscow Health Department.

The implemented hardware and software system enables the digitalization of all medical information used during surgeries, offering all the advantages of subsequent processing, storage, recording, transmission, and analysis. All digital information retains its high quality and diagnostic value.

The presented solution is designed for abdominal and endoscopic surgeries. One touchscreen monitor controls and monitors the digital operating room, two monitors display various medical information, and a fourth monitor displays information from the Radiological Digital Information System with a 3D Image Archiving Module (RIS+PACS) from YSAR+. When integrating a digital radiology information system into the digital operating room's information structure, all necessary hardware and software components are provided to manage workflows and organize diagnostic physician workstations. This applies equally to the creation of examination reports and to archiving and transmitting images via the DICOM protocol (e.g., for telemedicine consultations).

An operating room equipped with integrated solutions based on the implemented system improves the quality and cost effectiveness of surgical procedures by:
  • more efficient organization of the operating room team;
  • providing physicians in the digital operating room with real-time consultations with experienced physicians located outside the operating room, enabling them to provide qualified assistance in complex situations exactly when it's needed;
  • the ability to provide additional medical information in real time, such as patient clinical information, X-ray and radiological images, test results, etc.
