Specialists from YSAR+ took part in the meeting that was presided by Pavel Serebryakov, Vice-Governor of the Primorski Region. At this meeting, there were discussions of issues concerning remote consulting of patients from provincial areas, including on-line consultations.

Within the framework of execution of a state contract, the region has already seen implementation of a segment of an automated remote tele-healthcare consultation system.

As was mentioned by the Vice-Governor, today several of the regional medical institutions possess high-quality equipment which not only is intended for video conference calls, but also is equipped with tele-healthcare systems with different classes of software.

He added that 'We need to use existing facilities to the fullest extent possible. Remote consulting gives patients an opportunity to receive efficient consultations remotely, without the need to visit the regional center'.

The Vice-Governor also stressed the fact that with the help of tele-healthcare technologies, doctors from large medical institutions would be able to provide consulting assistance to doctors working in provincial areas.
