Opening of tele-healthcare center

On July 8, a tele-healthcare center was opened in the Republic Clinical Oncologic dispensary (Cheboksary). The ceremony was attended by Mikhail Ignatiev (Acting Head of the Chuvash Republic), Alla Samoylova (Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet Council of the Chuvash Republic, Minister of Healthcare and Social Development of the Chuvash Republic), Mikhail Davydov (Chief Cancer Specialist of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, Director of the Russian Scientific Center for Cancer Studies named after N. N. Blokhin, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor), Lidiya Voropaeva (Director of the Republic Clinical Oncologic dispensary, budgetary institution, Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development of the Chuvash Republic), Olga Zaytseva (Chairman of the Chuvash Republic Womens' Council), medical specialists, and Marina Kaygorodova (Regional Director of YSAR+ CJSC, Honored Industrial Worker of the Chuvash Republic). 

 

During presentation of the tele-healthcare center, Lidiya Voropaeva informed the guests on the software developed by YSAR+ and on functionality of the tele-healthcare center. The center is intended for conducting remote tele-healthcare consultations and providing distant learning for doctors in accordance with international standards.

Transmission of images, including mammograms, and their remote processing with the usage of YSAR+'s technologies, will allow to reach a new level of tumor diagnostics quality in the Chuvash Republic.

 

During opening of the tele-healthcare center, the first remote consultation took place between doctors from the Tsivilsk Central District Hospital, specialists from the Republic Clinical Oncologic dispensary, and experts from the Russian Scientific Center for Cancer Studies named after N. N. Blokhin. As was explained by Lidiya Voropaeva (Director of the Republic Clinical Oncologic dispensary), the software and hardware system put in operation will allow to significantly raise quality of early diagnostics. Specialists of the Russian Center for Cancer Studies will conduct second independent reviews of locally performed examinations. Also, the newly opened tele-healthcare center will be used for doctors' distant learning.

 

Development of cancer-prevention work in the Chuvash Republic was highly praised by Mikhail Davydov (Chief Cancer Specialist of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Academician): 'In my opinion, it is one of the best Russian clinical centers. I am sure that in the nearest future quality of specialized medical assistance in Cheboksary will be raised to reach the level of European standards'.
