JEMYS medical information system technologies are being actively implemented in Krasnodar Region

The year 2016 at Ochapovsky Regional Clinical Hospital No. 1 was marked with active work on informatization of various departments of this healthcare institution based on JEMYS medical information system technologies.

The Electronic Health Record system and the medical documents constructor allowed to introduce the MIS in all the in-patient departments, both surgical and therapeutic.

Extensive work was carried out on keeping personified records of services, in particular:

- Conclusion of contracts for the provision of paid medical services;

- Introduction of business process for the management of supplementary agreements to contracts for the provision of medical services, which allowed to ensure more precise financial accounting of services rendered on a paid basis.

- Implementation of the Automated Cashier Workplace component, which allowed to ensure the accounting of payments under contracts for the provision of paid medical services.

- A system of automated accounting of services based on doctors' records (journal entries, protocols of surgical interventions and manipulations, diagnostic tests) with the possibility of subsequent import into contracts for the provision of medical services in accordance with the current price list of the healthcare institution.

- Registration of drugs and medical products dispensed to a patient during their stay in the in-patient department, with automatic calculation of the total cost. 

- Automatic import of healthcare services rendered on the basis of laboratory tests carried out for the patient, aligned with the patient's case record  .

Additionally, JEMYS medical information system was used to computerize the process of referral to lifetime pathohistological examinations and performance of such examinations in the Anatomic Pathology Department of the Regional Hospital. The medical system supports creation of referrals from physicians and surgeons and maintenance of records on biomaterial samples, and facilitates drawing up of protocols of lifetime pathohistological examinations. The pathohistological journal, as well as the forms for reporting on the number of tests performed, are formed automatically on the basis of registered documents.

Laboratory diagnostics was also given due attention:

Uploading of test data to the portal of diagnostic laboratory examinations was implemented  on the basis of JEMYS MIS integration bus.

- Special protocol forms were created to register the results of cytological examinations.

- Communication has been established with the microbiological laboratory: test data are uploaded to the medical system in the shortest possible time,  which ensures that dedicated departments obtain full and reliable information on the detected infectious diseases.

In January 2017, Automated Dentist's Workplace was created allowing to register the data on dentist's consultations and services rendered to patients. The system automatically forms the journal of the dentist's office in terms of both healthcare services and standard labor input units.

The development of JEMYS medical information system does not end here: the system is being updated with regard to the actual need of the Management and the healthcare staff of the Hospital. Due to this, the medical system has received positive feedback from the healthcare staff and the department heads as a tool that significantly saves the attending physicians' time and allows to obtain reliable and relevant clinical information on the patients, and to form logs and reporting forms which require significant resources when filled out by hand. 

As of today, more than 700 people work in JEMYS MIS.
