In July 2023, a significant international project was launched, in which JSC YSAR+, an IT partner of the Rostec State Corporation, supplied specialized AI-based software for visualizing, processing, and storing medical information to the state of Uganda.

In the first stage, the Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC) was selected for the implementation of YSAR+ technologies. It is one of the largest medical centers in the country, established in 1991 with the support of the Ugandan government. The center's primary objective is the diagnosis and treatment of viral infectious diseases. JCRC has pioneered the use of modern therapeutic methods in sub-Saharan Africa, creating a network model for providing medical services throughout the country.

In December 2024, JSC YSAR+ completed the implementation of specialized software at all planned automated workstations at the center. The project included the installation of a software suite consisting of "JEMYS: DICOM – Image Reception, Processing, and Storage Server" (version 4.0) and "JEMYS: Radiological Digital Information System with Image Archiving Module" (version 4.0) in RIS+PACS 3D and Viewer versions.

This comprehensive, feature-rich solution will enable specialists from all areas of the center to process and analyze diagnostic examination results using advanced visualization methods, including 3D reconstruction by sections, and a web interface. It will also enable them to store and exchange diagnostic data and create formalized report reports.

The center's chief radiologist, Dr. Leonard, thanked JSC YSAR+ for their work. He is confident that with the implemented solution, the center's specialists will be able to significantly improve the quality of diagnostic services provided. Leonard looks forward to continuing and developing its fruitful collaboration with JSC YSAR+ in other areas of the center's IT development.

Assistance to the African partners in addressing pressing challenges of implementing high-tech IT solutions for the benefit of the Ugandan healthcare system was achieved with the active assistance of the Rostec representative office in Uganda and the support of the Russia-Singapore Business Council.
