YSAR+ is sponsor of the National School of X-Ray and Radiology Studies in Krasnoyarsk

YSAR+ became sponsor of a new educational project implemented by the Russian Society of Radiology (RSR) and held on April 7-8 in Krasnoyarsk State Medical University named after Professor V. F. Voyno-Yasenetsky.

The National School gives an opportunity to discuss issues of multi-disciplinary approach to current problems, from the standpoint of specialists in radiology diagnostics and oncology. Within the framework of plenary sessions, there were discussions of important issues related to breast cancer and lung cancer screening, as well as to comprehensive usage of modern technologies for automation of the relevant processes.

The speech of Professor N. V. Kochergina was dedicated to description of the tasks, objectives and algorithms of implementing worldwide screening standards in the healthcare system.

Conference attendants were shown the functionality of the System of Description, Recommendation and Statistics of Mammography Screening (SDRS-MS) developed by YSAR+.

The SDRS-MS system represents evolution of the JEMYS Telehealthcare system, which is planned to be actively implemented and used by cancer specialists of Krasnoyarsk Region.

The number of cancer cases in our region is constantly growing. According to forecasts of cancer specialists, by 2020 surgery departments of the regional cancer center will have twice as much patients. In our region, cancer incidence is higher than the average level for Russia. The work of regional oncologists is complicated by geographical characteristics of our region: some distant areas are cut off from the 'mainland', and specialists find it difficult to reach them. Andrey Modestov (Chief Independent Oncologist of the Ministry of Health of Krasnoyarsk Region, Director of Krasnoyarsk Regional Cancer Center named after A. I. Kryzhanovsky) gives an example saying that in warm season, doctors from the cancer center can reach the Severo-Yeniseysky district only by plane.

The event was attended by more than 300 doctors from regions of Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, and Tyva.
