YSAR+ Project Received Support from the Russian-Cyprus Intergovernmental Commission

XI Session of the Russian-Cyprus Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in Moscow on February 28, 2019.

The Russian delegation was headed by the Chairman of the Russian part of the Commission, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Ilya Eduardovich Torosov, the Cyprus delegation by the Chairman of the Cyprus part of the Commission, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Cyprus, Harris Georgiades.

YSAR+ JSC was represented by Andrei Robsky, Director of the Center for International Projects. In his speech, Andrei Robsky informed the Commission about the progress of the development of the YSAR+ project in the Republic of Cyprus and the results achieved. It was also noted that the work carried out by YSAR+ JSC fully complies with the agreement on cooperation in the field of health signed in 2008 by the Presidents of Cyprus and Russia.

 

Mr. Georgiades reaffirmed the need for measures to improve the early detection of oncological diseases in the Republic of Cyprus and supported the program of automation of breast cancer screening based on the System of Description, Recommendations and Statistics of Mammography Screening (SORS-MS) developed by YSAR+ JSC. He also noted that the health care reform in the Republic of Cyprus involves the use of advanced information technologies and that this program will be in demand and supported by the Government of the Republic of Cyprus.

The roadmap of the project provides for the possibility of attracting competencies from both public and private healthcare centers in the Republic of Cyprus, as well as obtaining expert opinion of industry specialists from oncology centers in Russia and Europe.

This project is also supported by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Nicosia.
