YSAR+ Strategy: Reducing Cancer Mortality

The 9th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation “Organizational Technologies in Oncology: A Strategy to Reduce Cancer Mortality” was held on October 11-12, 2018 in Kazan.

Among the conference participants were: Director of Kazan State Medical Academy, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences R.Sh. Khasanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan L.R. Fazleyeva, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan S.A. Osipov, Director of N.N. Blokhin Russian Cancer Research Center of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Federal State Institution) I.S.Stilidi, and Deputy Director of the Fedral State Institution “V.I. Kulakov National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology” L.A. Ashrafyan.

At this Conference, YSAR+ presented its SORS solution from the JEMYS product line. SORS, a system of descriptions, recommendations and statistics developed by YSAR+ with the participation of physicians from the Federal State Institution “N.N. Blokhin Russian Cancer Research Center” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, is an effective tool for early detection of cancer and control of oncologists’ efforts to combat malignant neoplasms.

The Conference “Organizational Technologies in Oncology: A Strategy to Reduce Cancer Mortality” became a designated information platform where all aspects of oncological service development strategy were discussed.

In her report Innovative Cancer Screening Technologies using Radiation Diagnostic Methods, Natalia Vasilievna Kochergina, Dr. Med., Prof., Leading Researcher of the Federal State Institution “N.N. Blokhin Russian Cancer Research Center” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation noted that the active use of the SORS system in the regions of the Russian Federation could be a key factor for successful solution of the tasks of prevention and early detection of malignant neoplasms.

The potential of the system will allow to effectively combine efforts of not only oncologists, radiologists and cytologists, but also health care administrators at both the regional and federal levels.
